ONE OF THE MAIN AND MOST OVERLOOKED REASON CHRISTIANS DON’T READ THEIR BIBLES:
THE DEVIL DOESN’T WANT YOU TO READ IT!

Satan tempts Jesus (Matthew 4:1-11)
- Jesus used the Word of God, not opinion
- We cannot combat the attacks of the enemy without the Word of God.
Satan Tempts Eves
“Now the serpent was more crafty than any other beast of the field that the Lord God had made. He said to the woman, “Did God actually say, ‘You shall not eat of any tree in the garden’?”” (Genesis 3:1 ESV)
Satan successfully employed two tricks he likes to often use to distract us:
- He wants us alone
- He wants us to doubt God’s word.
- He wants us with him
WHY SHOULD WE READ THE BIBLE
For many people, there are areas where they are simply not knowledgeable. Maybe you grew up in a home where finances were never discussed so as an adult you struggled trying to make ends meet, get out of debt, or save money.
- To learn God’s will and promises
- To hear God’s voice
- Spiritual food

Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth.

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God.
