When life is uncertain, it’s so important that we lean heavily into God’s word, which is always certain and true. Here are a few scriptures that I have been meditating on and praying over my life. Proverbs 4:23 says “Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.” We can choose daily to guard our hearts by consuming God’s word so that when fear or anxiety creeps up, we can fight it from the inside with the word of God.

You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you. Trust in the LORD forever, for the LORD, the LORD himself, is the Rock eternal.” -Isaiah 26:3-4

“The fruit of that righteousness will be peace; its effect will be quietness and confidence forever. My people will live in peaceful dwelling places, in secure homes, in undisturbed places of rest. -Isaiah 32:17-18

“LORD, be gracious to us; we long for you. Be our strength every morning, our salvation in time of distress.” -Isaiah 33:2

“I sought the LORD, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears.” -Psalms 34:4

“The LORD gives strength to his people; the LORD blesses his people with peace.” -Psalms 29:11

“For the LORD God is a sun and shield; the LORD bestows favor and honor; no good thing does he withhold from those whose walk is blameless.” -Psalms 84:11

“For you are great and do marvelous deeds; you alone are God.” -Psalms 86:10

Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”” -Deuteronomy 31:6

The LORD your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you; in his love he will no longer rebuke you, but will rejoice over you with singing.”” -Zephaniah 3:17

“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” -Romans 15:13

“What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?” -Romans 8:31

“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” -John 14:27

“I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do all this through him who gives me strength.” -Philippians 4:11-13

“But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.” -1 Corinthians 15:57-58

“Yet this I call to mind and therefore I have hope: Because of the LORD’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. I say to myself, “The LORD is my portion; therefore I will wait for him.” The LORD is good to those whose hope is in him, to the one who seeks him; it is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the LORD.” -Lamentations 3:21-26

Print these out and post them throughout your home so that not only are you surrounded by the word of God but reminded of it as well! Stay safe and be blessed!
